SHIPPING FAQ
- How long will it take for my order to arrive?
We aim to ship all online purchases within 2 business days, however we are a small operation so sometimes delays can happen. We will contact you if there are any shipping issues or delays. Please allow 5-7 business days for your package to arrive.
- “I would like to buy a board from your online store, but I’m not on the Sunshine Coast. Can you ship it to me?”
Yes we can. We prefer to use a dedicated surfboard courier company on the East coast, so that there is no damage to your new board. NOTE: these services only run:
Weekly: Sunshine Coast - Gold Coast - $100
Monthly: Sunshine Coast - Sydney - $120
Monthly: Sunshine Coast - Torquay - $180
If delivery is needed urgently please get in touch with us prior to purchasing and we can arrange a regular courier.
Western Vic, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia, we can ship to you using a regular courier.
Domestic Board shipping rates using a regular courier are as follows:
NSW - $200
ACT - $200
QLD - $100
SA - $250
VIC - $250
TAS - $250
NT - $250
WA - $300
Returns and Exchanges
At DESSA we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase; we want you to keep coming back for more, and to tell your friends about us
We are committed to customer service and satisfaction, so if you receive any merchandise that you are unhappy with, we will offer refunds or exchanges if received within 30 days of purchase.
DESSA Returns & Exchanges Policy
- We offer refunds and exchanges within 30 days of purchase. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
- To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. We do not accept returns on worn, damaged or otherwise non saleable products unless they arrived damaged or faulty.
- To complete your return, we also require a receipt or proof of purchase. (this be done via checkout system)
- Damaged/ Faulty items: Importantly, If something arrives damaged or faulty, please take a few images of the faulty item(s) right away and email us with the images on dessa4573@gmail.com. We offer refunds and exchanges within 30 days of purchase if an item is damaged or faulty.
- Exchanges (if applicable): We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. Size exchange requests are subject to availability of stock. Should your size request be unavailable a refund will be provided. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at dessa4573@gmail.com.
- Sale items - Only regular priced items may be exchanged and refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be exchanged or refunded.
- Shipping costs: You are responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping charges are non-refundable for change of mind returns and/or exchanges.
I want to return my order, what do I do?
To complete your return:
- Please ensure the items returned have not been worn, altered, washed, damaged, and must include all original packaging and tags
- Watches must have all original protection seals intact to be eligible for return
- To return or exchange something that you ordered, please have your order number handy and start the process emailing dessa4573@gmail.com
- Ship your item. We strongly recommend that you opt for the registered post option so that if your package goes missing (it happens) you can track it down. As you are the sender in this instance, we do not have the authority to track down the parcel for you
REFUND PROCESS
Once we receive your returned item(s) in good order, we will send you an email to notify you we have received the returned item and advise of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, your refund will be processed and a credit applied to your credit card or the original method of payment within 5-10 business days, depending on your financial institution).
Out of Stocks
We update our site’s product availability frequently. However, in rare instances another customer may have selected to purchase the same item as you at the same time. If this happens, we will notify you within one business day that we will not be able to deliver the goods in the usual delivery period. If it is an item that we cannot re-order – we will give you a refund immediately; if it is an item we can re-order – we will inform you of the new delivery time frame and give you the choice of waiting or receiving a refund.
Afterpay refunds
DESSA pays fees to all of our payment providers (PayPal, credit cards etc.) at the time of your purchase which are refunded to us, in part, when we process a refund for you. Afterpay is an expensive service to provide and unfortunately at this time they do not pass on any credits back to us when a refund is processed. Therefore, any refunds processed via Afterpay will attract a 5% restocking fee for any change of mind purchases where a refund is required. This applies to all orders, regardless whether they have been shipped or not.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at dessa4573@gmail.com.
